Stephen J. Pacetti , MD
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Addiction Medicine Physician

Dr. Pacetti completed his undergraduate work at the University of Florida and attended medical school at the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic. His training includes Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, N.J. and three years of Pediatric training at The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/NJ Medical School. Also, he completed his NICU training at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ.
Dr. Pacetti has a passion for those suffering with addiction. Being a leader in his church's recovery ministry has given him a unique insight to aid those in need.

Dennis J. Hansen
Executive Director

Dennis' victory over addiction and grasp of recovery in general allows him to integrate his personal experience into this program. Dennis brings a special form of compassion and experience to our patients. Armed with the knowledge of what works and what does not work in addiction treatment, he has a special insight into what it takes to be “drug free”.
Dennis has lived in Palm Beach County for the last 25 years, has been married for 26 years and has 2 children. He is active in various local recovery programs and church ministry. A Christian value system influences his relationship with his patients and how he conducts his everyday business. For relaxation Dennis is a musician that plays the drums.

Joy Chanonat, LPN
Nursing Coordinator

Joy s a Licensed Practical Nurse and she brings years of experience to New Beginnings Medical. She graduated from the Practical Nursing Program and North Tech in 1984. Her compassionate style and friendly smile puts patients at ease right away.
Her passion to help others and previous history helping women suffering with substance abuse issues makes her a real asset to New Beginnings Medical. Joy has a daughter Aimee, and she resides in Lantana Florida.

Stephanie D'Andrea
Outreach Coordinator

Stephanie's marketing experience spans 15 years with a focus on assisting clients and their families in finding appropriate treatment. Her broad knowledge of addiction as a disease affecting the individual and their families, as well as her passion for recovery, translates into providing hope for healing to those who suffer from addictive and other behavioral health disorders.
She has been a member of the Heroes in Medicine Awards Committee for the Palm Beach County Medical Society and was responsible for the implementation of the Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force in Palm Beach County. She has been an active volunteer as an elementary school mentor for the Palm Beach County public schools, and Group Leader for Girls in Action, a volunteer group of girls who implement outreach programs for the area's homeless. Stephanie attended The Academy of Healing Arts, The Brahman Institute, and the Dr. Vodder Schule in Walchee, Austria and recently completed her training as a Certified Addictions Professional.

Peter Gannon, ARNP, MSN, BC

Peter is an experienced and clinically competent Board Certified Psychiatric Practitioner with proven accomplishments in the evaluation, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and substance abuse disorders in the adolescent and adult populations.
Peter received his Masters of Science in Nursing at FIU in 2004., a Masters of Public Administration at Golden Gate University in 1988 and graduated cum laude with a BS in Science in Nursing at the University of Bridgeport in 1981.
He is board certified by ANCC, a member of the American Nurse Association, a member of the American Psychiatric Nurse Association and holds a U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal

Christine Ross ARNP-BC

A native Floridian, graduated from PBCC with an Associate of Science in Nursing in 1993. As a registered nurse her professional experience includes primary and acute care in pediatrics and geriatrics as well as hospice care. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from FAU in 2005 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing at FAU in 2006. Miss Ross is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner focusing her practice in primary care. A member of both the American College of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Miss Ross has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society of Nursing and the National Scholars Honor Society.
Her community involvements include volunteer activity with the Palm Beach County School District, the American Heart Association, and The Susan G Komen Race for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation. Her hobbies include boating, fishing, golf, yoga and pilates. |

Frank is a Florida Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), Illinois Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CRADC), an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC), and has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.
Frank has worked in the chemical dependency field for the past 8 years as a Counselor, Clinical Supervisor and Administrator. Currently, Frank serves as the Program Director at New Beginning Recovery Center in Palm Beach County, Florida

| Frank began his career in 2003 as a Counselor at the Phoenix House Career Academy in Brooklyn, New York where he developed expertise utilizing Motivational Enhancement Therapy to engage a treatment resistant population. Between 2004 and 2009 Frank served as Counselor, Senior Counselor, and Assistant Clinical Director at Bridge Back to Life Center Inc. in Brooklyn, New York where he specialized in the facilitation of psycho educational groups, individual counseling, clinical supervision, programming and the coordination of care with Employee Assistance Programs and New York State Drug Treatment Court.
Between 2009 and 2011 Frank served as a Chemical Dependency Counselor, Quality Assurance Coordinator and most recently, Assistant Clinical Director at Treatment Alternatives in Boca Raton, Florida.

SALLY HIGH, LMHC

Sally High is a new addition to NBRC. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has extensive training and 10 years experience with dual diagnosis treatment. Sally is active in AA and uses her various approaches to therapy to blend the many advantages of combining a healthy 12 step approach to sobriety as well as learning to cope and manage the mental health aspects (trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar) while in treatment.
Sally believes in unconditional positive regard and assisting in building up her clients self esteem, gaining a sense of empowerment, using their voices, being assertive and setting healthy boundaries. Once a client believes they can change, they are halfway there.
Sally is very experienced in the treatment of Adolescents. She is very passionate about doing work with both the adolescents and the families. As we all know, addiction is a family disease. I am excited to be a part of this wonderful team!!!

Brian Crowley
Business Manager

Brian is the business manager and is responsible for all matters associated with insurance, marketing and technology.
For over 15 years, he’s had the privilege of working with some amazing people & projects building relationships and delivering value across a variety of industry sectors that include personal business coaching, software-as-a-service, online and direct marketing, and commercial real estate.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Business with information systems and corporate strategy, and holds numerous certifications as a personal development trainer, coach and speaker. He is also a founding partner with the John Maxwell Leadership Team and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.

He frequently speaks and facilitates events on leadership, work/life balance with individuals and businesses seeking to turnaround life changing situations.

Michelle Lewis, RN

Michelle is originally from Westchester county New York. She has worked in substance abuse and psychiatric services for over 12 years. She holds a bachelor of science in Nursing and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree at the University of South Alabama with a concentration in psychiatric services.
Her goal is to assit NBRC in the detox process without judgement and motivate them by giving them support and guidance.

Nicole is a senior at Palm Beach Atlantic University studying Marine Biology with a minor in ministry leadership.
I am originally from Colorado, although I am a resident of Indiana due to my parents moving there a year ago. I also work for a local church at the running the student ministries and enjoy leading worship.
I am the office administrative assistant for New Beginnings at the gardens office.

Office Manager

Courtney joins the team at New Beginnings Recovery Center as the Office Manager.
She is a resident of Palm Beach Gardens coming from her hometown of Las Vegas. She has experience in the medical field as well as customer service and patient relations.
Courtney enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family, Fiance and four dogs.

Shari is very passionate about recovery. She is married to a man who is also very passionate about recovery. Having worked in the addiction field for over 15 years her specialty is working with insurance companies and advocating for each patient. Her #1 priority is the addict or alcoholic and how she can personally be of assistance; this carries over into her personal life.
Shari is dedicated to helping others change their lives. Having worked in admissions, billing, utilization review, appeals and have also run various groups. She brings to New Beginnings Recovery Center much compassion for the patient and their families.

Bernadette joins the team at New Beginnings Recovery Center as an Insurance Specialist and Phlebotomist. She has worked in the medical field since 1992 her specialty is insurance verification, billing, and collecting.
She is originally from Paterson, NJ and moved to Florida in 1995 with her loving husband and their beautiful daughter. They love the outdoors and spending time with their pets. Their daughter will be leaving for the Army soon and starting a new life journey.
With a family history of drug and alcohol abuse she has seen the ravaging effects that drugs and alcohol can have on a loved one’s life. She is compassionate and will help any patient in any way she can. Every patient has a voice we just need to stop and listen.

Stefanie is a lifetime resident of Palm Beach County, Florida. She is currently a junior at Palm Beach Atlantic University studying Organizational Management.
A recent addition to New Beginnings, Stefanie brings a wide variety of knowledge in performance improvement, medical records management, intake coordinating, and financial coordinating.
She has been actively involved in recovery programs since 2006. She served as a leader for over three years and was instrumental to getting a Christ-based recovery program started at her church. Stefanie has a passion for helping others find the freedom she now has. Additionally, Stefanie is actively involved in the music and children’s ministries in her church. She loves singing and spending time with her son. |
