Why Consider Out-Patient vs. In-Patient Treatment?
Sometimes in-patient treatment is not an option for you. Taking a leave of absence from work might be difficult or result is a loss of your job. Or maybe you are a student and don't want an interruption from your schedule. Whatever the case may be, in-patient drug and alcohol treatment can take a month or more out of you life.
NBD offers a full range of programs ranging from Intensive Out-Patient (IOP) groups, to groups that meet once, twice or three times per week. Either way we can design a program that can fit just about anybody's schedule. We also offer individual counseling services that are a cost effective alternative to expensive in-patient treatment. These counseling services are effective and provide an "unsheltered" environment for the individual to continue life without "checking out" for a period of time.
Our out-patient program allows you to remain at home while undergoing treatment. This makes it possible for the you to continue working and to be with family while undergoing care.

Consider the out-patient option when:
- You need to continue working every day while undergoing treatment
- You cannot afford to pay for in-patient treatment, which tends to be quite costly
- Need to remain near family
- You have a supportive household that will assist you in achieving the program goals while at home
It is important to note that utilizing outpatient treatment allows an individual to be able to deal with the real world while recovering from drug and alcohol dependence. For many, the daily tests you will encounter during the out-patient treatment will help to strengthen their commitment and your methods of coping with addiction.
